The Toyko Skytree, the highest building in Japan at 2,080 feet, offers breathtaking panoramic views over Sumida City and the Asakusa neighbourhood from its observation tower's summit. It is also classified as the second-tallest building in the world after the renowned Burj Khalifa and the tallest tower in the globe.

The lengthy history of the nation's royals will be all around you as you stroll through the palace grounds.

3. Take in the Meiji shrine's beauty

The Meiji shrine, one of the most well-known Shinto shrines in the city, was constructed to honour Emperor Meiji and his wife. When you enter the premises, you will be astounded by the towering tori gates and the lovely woodland gardens. In addition, the temple is not far from other well-known sites like Shibuya and Harajuku. Meiji Shrine is hidden among a grove of 100,000 trees, which makes it wonderfully peaceful despite being close to the bustling of central Tokyo. The trees came from various parts of the nation and were brought here to be planted.

4. Visit the Tokyo National Museum to review your country's history.

The Tokyo National Museum (TNM) is the largest and most well-known art museum in the nation as well as the oldest national museum in Japan. There are several displays spanning works of art, artefacts from ancient times, and halls dedicated to the history of Japan inside. The museum is a fantastic activity to combine with a picnic or a stroll through the park because it is located inside Ueno Park.

5. Wander through Ueno Park.

The largest green space in the city, Ueno park, may be explored for a whole day. The Tokyo National Museum, the National Museum of Western Art, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, and the Shitamachi Museum are just a few of the top institutions in Tokyo that can be found inside the park. With more than 1,200 cherry blossom trees, Ueno Park is a well-known location to see the cherry blossoms. The trees were first set up to beautify the grounds of the Kan'ei-Ji temple, which was located here before the park even existed.

6. Spend the day at Mount Fuji.

On clear days, Tokyo can see Mount Fuji, which is only 137 kilometres away and the ideal distance for a day excursion! You may get from Shinjuku Station to Kawaguchiko in under two hours by taking the Fuji Excursion Limited Express train. While you're there, you should visit the nearby lakes of Kawaguchiko, Saiko, Yamanakako, Shojiko, and Motosuko.

Sumo wrestling is a must-do while looking for enjoyable things to do in Tokyo. There are lots of lessons and bouts to join and watch throughout the city, whether you're feeling courageous enough to step into the dohyo and try your hand at wrestling practise or you'd rather to take a seat and leave it to the pros.

The city of Tokyo is the king of themed restaurants, which is one of its peculiar characteristics. There are numerous restaurants all across Tokyo that are decorated with unique themes, such as Sumo wrestling, Moomin, Alcatraz, Alice in Wonderland, and retro gaming. The restaurant Ronkunen Yonkumi, where you can relive your schooldays while dining inside a classroom, is undoubtedly our favourite.

9. Stroll the well-known Shibuya Crossing.

This particular crossing, located in Tokyo's Shibuya neighbourhood and sometimes known as the "Shibuya Scramble," is regarded as a famous Tokyo sight. People are known to be scurrying around in all directions in a chaotic manner. Over a thousand people may be crossing the road at once! The Shibuya Crossing is one of the busiest intersections in the world, with over 2.4 million people passing through it daily on average!
